Excited to share this new garden story I shot for Martha Stewart Living about a native flower garden in Connecticut. This story was a dream to shoot. After a long dark ride on small highways from Woodstock to Connecticut, we started shooting at sunrise in the cool, damp morning. After lunch, while waiting for the high sun to lower, Amy took us all for a boat ride on the beautiful lake behind her restored 1800's home (part of which was a stable). We saw an eagle flying, learned about about lake sustainability, and after more shooting in the 1 acre echinacea and rudbeckia meadow, we watched the sunset over the lake while sipping sparkling rose. The story really captures the essence of the location and all the care and knowledge that's put into the landscape there. Thank you to all involved!
Two weeks ago my family and I travelled over to England to visit our family, including my daughter's cousins. The weather was warm and sunny, we ate fish and chips almost every day, experienced the pebble beaches of Brighton, and I caught up with an old friend on the Brighton pier!
This weekend my mother, daughter, and I went to our cousin Tom Kaufman's sugar maple celebration in Delancey, just north of Andes, New York.
